Jeyetna: a festival combatting period poverty

A nationwide festival focused on combating period poverty was initiated and run by a feminist collective named Jeyetna.

Throughout the initiative, a documentary was screened showing the reality of diverse people in Lebanon and their stories with periods. A variety of period products, including period cups and reusable pads, were also distributed to beneficiaries.

Juniper had the honor of being invited to collaborate with Jeyetna on this initiative.

Juniper helped train volunteers to present how to use period cups and keep them hygienic. Juniper team members also presented on cup use and the social stigma around it in rural areas such as the Bekaa.
